This little guy just fledged from his nest and scurried away last night on my way back from the mess hall. The bird is about half the size of a sparrow, but not likely to make it without help from his parents. I've been seeing lots of plovers, egrets, cranes, kingfishers and stilts in my trips out of town recently. Finally saw a sand fox this week, dead on the road. The same size as our red fox, but blonde fur in place of red.
