Tenente "Bob" (left) is from Melano and plans to open his own law practice when he returns. He went to school in San Diego for a while and his excellent English has a surfer sound to it. The Major (right) has headed up the thirty some odd police station assessments we've done in the last two months. He's from Sicily and talked to me at great length about the annual Mattanza tuna migration there, the blessing of the fleet, and the traditional netting they use to catch them. The Mattanza come amazingly close to the island in their migration.
