The Italians have been wonderful partners here in southern Iraq. We've put in a lot of miles with their heavily armed escorts doing police station and courthouse assessments prior to awarding rebuilding contracts. They stay in Iraq for four months at a time, some coming back for two and three tours. We see many of them come and go, and it's always an excuse for a pizza party. Tonight the LTC is heading home along with the Captain (blue uniform left).
