Another Day in Paradise

Taking a lap around the running track

It was a little cooler today, and I broke out my gloves for my sunset ride. The days are getting slightly longer now. This track I'm riding on is really my shortcut to the irrigation pond where the birds hang out. It's about a kilometer long and about the smoothest thing to run or ride on in camp. Today I saw hundreds of starlings at the dump, a few wagtails, three crested larks that let me ride right up to them, some collared doves, and a beetle bigger than a quarter that looked like a water bug (but maybe it's hind flippers were adapted to move in the silty soil because it was a long way from any water).
